Get A DAU Of IDR 42 Million, Mukomuko Prepares 20 Thousand Fish Seeds For Power Buyers

JAKARTA - The Fisheries Office of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu, has prepared as many as 20 thousand freshwater fish seeds needed by fish farmers in this area. "The fish seeds at the Fish Seed Center (BBI) in this area are tilapia with a total of 20,000 fish seeds. The tilapia seeds as many as tens of thousands come from the new fish parent," said Head of Fisheries, Budi Daya, of the Mukomuko Regency Fisheries Service, Fitra Juliatmi, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

The Fisheries Office of Mukomuko Regency this year received a general allocation fund (DAU) of Rp42 million to rejuvenate the parent fish in BBI Lubuk Pinang. With such a large budget, it can be used to procure 600 kilograms of fish mothers consisting of 200 kilograms of male fish mothers and as many as 400 kilograms of female. "We carried out procurement activities as much as 600 kilograms of parent fish by self-management with an order system to the Fisheries Hall of Aquaculture Tawar Sungai Gelam Jambi," he said. He said his agency had not rejuvenated fish for BBI Lubuk Pinang for a long time. The procurement of fish in BBI since three years ago until now there has been no more rejuvenation of fish mothers. He said the local government last rejuvenation of three packages of fish with a total of 400 heads consisting of 300 females and 100 males.

However, he continued, the quality of the parent fish originating from the procurement of the fish parent activities since three years ago is no longer good, so there needs to be a rejuvenation of the parent fish. "Currently, the Fish Seed Center (BBI) does not yet have a stock of catfish seeds, but we are working with UPR in providing catfish seeds," he said.
