JAKARTA - IKP Kominfo and the Indonesian House of Representatives held a webinar with the theme "State Berdia Social". This Webinar event is filled by several speakers and presenters. Sturman said, since the COVID-19 pandemic, making the use of social media very influential on human life. "The average average in 2021 spends 3 hours in 1 day accessing social media or the internet, and 80 percent of the human population in Indonesia, using social media as an active role in life," said Sturman. Kominfo found that there were more 9000s in 2018-2021 of hoaxes, negative content, violence, pornography, gambling and others. That's why there needs to be direction, need to be wise, and don't violate the corridor and be vigilant in using this social media. "The step of social media is to be able to sort and choose what we do and we find it on social media. Keep ethics when using social media, don't get trapped or deceived," he said. Lebih lanjut Sturman menyebut, DPR RI bersama dengan pemerintah selalu berupaya demi kemajuan dan keamanan masyarakat terutama dalam dunia digital dan media sosial. Pemerintah mengeluarkan draft Undang Perlindungan Data Pribadi, di mana ada kehubungannya dengan kasus salah satu brand usaha yang membocorkan data orang lain kepada umum. "That is why we need to be careful and wise in social media, especially in protecting our own personal data," concluded Sturman.
