JAKARTA - Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Syahrial, urged the DKI Provincial Government to immediately issue a financial report on the implementation of Formula E as a form of transparency, considering that so far it has never been submitted to the public.

"Since 2019 until now, we have never heard or received a report from the governor regarding the implementation of Formula E," Syahrial said in a plenary meeting, one of which discussed the Delivery of Accountability (P2) of the 2021 APBD, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, 6 September.

According to him, this plenary meeting is a momentum to ask for answers from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government considering that the terms of office of DKI Governor Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor of DKI Ahmad Riza Patria end on October 16, 2022.

When delivering the interruption, the member of Commission C of the DKI DPRD admitted that he had never received accurate information regarding the implementation of Formula E Jakarta.

"How much funds have been disbursed by the provincial government in the implementation of Formula E. We demand that information be given as clearly as possible about the process in the Formula E budget," he added.

He asked DKI Jakarta BUMD, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer of the electric car racing event, and the DKI Provincial Government to provide a transparent explanation regarding Formula E's financial statements.

In line with Syahrial, a member of Commission B of the DKI DPRD, Wa Ode Herlina, also asked for a financial report including the loss and profit of the implementation of Formula E.

"During the discussion of the 2021 P2APBD, there were no financial reports for PT Jakpro regarding the issuance of Formula E. When asked, the President Director of Jakpro also did not provide a transparent explanation. Currently, the implementation of Formula E has been completed, but there are no financial reports, profit and loss to the public," he said.

Based on a report from the DKI Jakarta Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), the implementation of Formula E Jakarta will be carried out for three seasons, namely 2022-2024 after renegotiation from the initial five seasons, namely 2020-2024, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The total commitment fee paid to Formula E Operation (FEO) as the operator and license holder of Formula E, reached 31 million pounds, or equivalent to IDR 560 billion, out of a total of 36 million pounds.

The remaining 5 million pounds, based on the DKI Jakarta BPK report, will be paid by the DKI Jakarta BUMD, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer in Jakarta in the third year without going through the APBD.
