MAKASSAR - The Makassar Transportation Service (Dishub) is finalizing traffic engineering to welcome the Makassar Eight Festival and Forum or F8 which will be held in Makassar on 7-11 September 2022.

Head of Traffic Division of the Makassar Transportation Agency, Safran, said that the Transportation Agency was also preparing parking pockets for invited guests and visitors.

A total of 300 members of the Transportation Agency will be assigned later, from Wednesday, September 7 to Sunday, September 11, 2022.

"About 300 members will be deployed to regulate traffic flow," said Safran, quoted from Antara, Sunday, September 5.

Acting Head of Makassar Satpol PP, Ikhsan NS added, his party is ready to secure the event. "A total of 200 potential members will be deployed," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Ops of the Makassar Polrestabes AKBP Darminto said the police would participate in the success of the annual art, culture and entertainment performance in Makassar.

"This is a promotional and tourism event where the audience is always flooded, so this implementation must run smoothly and we from the police will cooperate with all of them in the success of these activities," he said.

The hundreds of TNI-Polri personnel will be placed in all areas of F8 Makassar, in the courtyard of the Losari Beach platform

In addition to being placed in the Makassar F8 area, they will also regulate the flow of traffic activities around Losari Beach.
