A Man Is Stabbed In Matraman, Perpetrator Also Steals His Cell Phone

JAKARTA - The Matraman Police Criminal Investigation Unit is pursuing the perpetrator of the stabbing of a man on Skip Street, Utan Kayu Selatan, on Thursday morning at around 03.00 WIB.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Matraman Police, Iptu Sutrisno, said that he had conducted an investigation into the scene of the stabbing case.

"We from the Matraman Criminal Investigation Unit have carried out, visited, and checked the crime scene, including checking the victim at the Persahabatan Hospital," said Sutrisno.

Sutrisno added that currently, the stabbed victim is in stable condition although he still has to undergo treatment due to a stab wound to his back.

"Alhamdulillah, the victim is still fully conscious and hopefully he will recover soon," said Sutrisno.

However, Sutrisno has not been able to provide further comments regarding the chronology of events and the number of perpetrators of the stabbing case.

Previously circulated on social media a video of a stabbing action against a man in the South Utan Kayu area, Matraman, East Jakarta, on Thursday morning at around 03.00 WIB.

The perpetrator not only stabbed the victim in the back, but also suspected of stealing the victim's cell phone (cell phone).
