Wait For The Report On The Sale And Purchase Of Positions At The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, KPK: If There Is Information, We Will Look For It

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked anyone who knows about the alleged bribery of buying and selling positions within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Civil Apparatus (ASN) to report.

KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto said his party was ready to investigate the allegations. However, the KPK is waiting for information to come in before taking action.

"If there is, if there is a good report, good information, we will look for supporting evidence," Karyoto said at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 25.

Karyoto said the practice of buying and selling positions has indeed occurred in many places, one of which is Probolinggo Regency. In this case, the inactive Probolinggo Regent Puput Tantriana Sari and her husband were dragged into the trap of fixing the tariff to raise ASN in their area.

"In Probolinggo, it's true (it happened, ed). So the lurah, the Acting Officer, just pays tens of millions," he said.

Previously, the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, admitted that he had heard a lot of information regarding the sale and purchase of positions within the ASN of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

This presumptuous practice occurred a lot during the leadership of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. "At the end of the governor's term, I heard many problems with our ASN in the sale and purchase of placements. How many individuals have I found," Gembong told reporters, Wednesday, August 24.

Gembong said the practice of buying and selling occurred in various positions from the village head, the section head of the regional work unit (SKPD), to the sub-district head.

He gave an example for the position of sub-section head to become a section head in the same echelon at a price of Rp. 60 million. Then, the lurah position costs up to Rp. 100 million while the sub-district position is pegged at Rp. 200 million to Rp. 250 million.

This member of Commission A of the DKI DPRD said this practice had actually become an open secret. However, he accused this practice of buying and selling positions when Anies became governor of DKI.

"Nowadays there are more and more because now there are more who interfere. This means, Anies has so many teams. So, it is these hands that sometimes interfere with the SKPD," said Gembong.
