After Anies Stepped Down And Was Replaced By Acting Governor, PDIP's TGUPP Value Was No Longer Needed Because It Made A Lot Of Noise

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, assessed that the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) of DKI was no longer needed when the term of office of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan ended and was replaced by an Acting (Pj).

The reason, according to Gembong, is that the presence of TGUPP since Anies' leadership has often caused noise and wastes the budget. This is because the current TGUPP salary is sourced from the APBD at the DKI Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) budget post.

"TGUPP doesn't need to exist when the Acting Officer is in office. Spending the budget and making noise because there are too many people. Now (TGUPP) there are 70 people, it automatically makes noise," said Gembong at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, August 22.

Not to mention, continued Gembong, currently TGUPP is too interfering with the operational activities of the DKI Provincial Government Regional Work Units (SKPD). So, according to Gembong, SKPDs are more afraid of TGUPP than they are dealing with DPRD, which is the supervisor of SKPD's work. In

"He (TGUPP) intervened with the SKPD, that's what made it damaged. That's why, when we discussed the RKPD (work plan for regional apparatus) first, we recommended that TGUPP be allowed but not operational. Because, in fact, it is now operational and disrupts the SKPD," explained Kingpin.

Actually, the existence of TGUPP when the Acting Governor of DKI was still allowed. However, continued Gembong, the TGUPP salary payment should be taken from the governor's operational allowance. As was the case when Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) served as the Governor of DKI several years ago.

"The governor's operational funds are large, you know, a month it can be more than IDR 4 billion. Because it is big, please TGUPP be paid from operational funds. Moreover, tomorrow the Acting (serving) alone," said Gembong.

Even so, Gembong suggested that the number of TGUPPs should not be as large as Anies' leadership, which has 72 TGUPP members.

"Officials also need experts. However, the number should not be too fat like that. When Pak Soni (Plt. Governor of DKI) only has 5 people. The slimmer (TGUPP), the more agile it will be. governor," he added.
