Bogor Regent Ade Yasin's Investigation Regarding The Rizieq Crowd May Be Postponed

JAKARTA - The investigation of Bogor Regent Ade Yasin regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol of the activities of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Grand Imam Rizieq Shihab in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java may be postponed.

Head of West Java Regional Police, Kombes Erdi A Chaniago, said that the postponement of this examination was because Ade Yasin was positive for COVID-19. The examination will be carried out after Ade Yasin is healthy.

"If (Ade Yasin) does not come, this is only a clarification, we can postpone the clarification if the person is healthy," Erdi said at the West Java Regional Police, Bandung City, West Java, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 19.

Even though he was called positive, Erdi admitted that his party had received a letter of recommendation as well as an official letter from the results of Ade Yasin's examination which was declared COVID-19. Meanwhile, he said, a summons for Ade Yasin had been sent by the police.

"We are waiting, but until now we have not received a letter, a letter of recommendation or a letter of delivery from the COVID-19 cluster itself, or perhaps the hospital," he said.

The agenda for the examination of Regent Ade Yasin is planned to be carried out on Friday, November 20. The investigation was carried out to clarify the alleged violation in the process of holding Rizieq Shihab's activities in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, which caused a large crowd.

So that the organizers of the event are suspected of violating the COVID-19 health protocol, such as ignoring the application of distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, and crowds. Erdi said there were about 3 thousand people who attended the event.

"Therefore, we indeed ask local government officials for clarification, maybe the permission, then how the COVID-19 task force, whether to monitor it or not, get to the lowest RT-RW officials, we will even ask for information," said Erdi. .

Apart from Ade Yasin, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil was also summoned by the police regarding Rizieq Shihab's activities. However, Ridwan Kamil is scheduled to be questioned on Friday, November 20 at Bareskrim Polri, Jakarta.
