JAKARTA - The Cibubur Bridge on Jalan Shooting Field, East Jakarta, has begun to be revitalized by the East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. for the benefit of pedestrians.

Head of the Road and Bridge Section of the East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept., Budi Cahyo Wardoyo, said that access for pedestrians will also be equipped with artistic reliefs on the side of the road.

"There are sides for pedestrians on the right and left. If I'm not mistaken, eight meters for the body of the road, plus the sidewalk for 11 meters," Budi told reporters, Friday, August 12.

Budi said that the construction of the Cibubur Bridge will later be one meter high so that when the Cipinang River water discharge rises, the garbage does not accumulate and cause flooding.

He said, the Cibubur Bridge revitalization process is targeted to be completed in November 2022.

During the revitalization process, the Cibubur Bridge was closed by a toll, so that two and four-wheelers must find alternative routes until the work is complete.
