JAKARTA - The mother-in-law of the late Vanessa Angel, Haji Faisal, confirmed that he would take part in the legislative elections (Pileg) in the upcoming 2024 elections.

The popularity of Haji Faisal after the death of his son-in-law and son, Febri Andriansyah, on November 4, 2021, has made officials from the National Mandate Party (PAN) interested in asking him to become a 2024 legislative candidate.

However, Haji Faisal does not yet know from which electoral district he will be nominated, including for the DPR RI or DPRD.

"I was offered to run for a legislature. But I haven't decided which electoral district so far. Because there is still a long time, what is clear is what was offered to me that has been carefully thought out," said Haji Faisal at the KPU RI office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 10. .

According to Faisal, he will be assigned to the Central Jakarta or West Jakarta electoral districts. "Maybe Central Jakarta, or yes West Jakarta," he said.

"It's in discussion to see future developments depending on where I can be accepted," continued Opa from Galasky.

Regarding political capital, Haji Faisal is quite optimistic because he always follows developments. After all, he said, his parents were also party people. This is the reason why he wanted to enter politics.

"When I look at people who have passed the legislature, it seems that my background is that my parents joined a political party. I myself follow the developments of our country, I follow it. Only time and opportunity are new now, so what's wrong with me realizing it," said Haji Faisal.

Faisal said that his intention to run as a legislative candidate had already received the blessing of his son.

"The children agreed. After I consulted, my children were able to live independently, so that the time and opportunity are now available," said Haji Faisal, who was present at the KPU accompanied by his wife.
