Once Again Delayed, The Planned Implementation Of The Rp10 Thousand Transjakarta-MRT-LRT Integration Tariff To End This Month

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, is targeting the application of tariffs for the integration of three transportation modes, namely Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta, which will take effect this month.

The target for the implementation of this transportation integration tariff has been delayed again. The DKI Provincial Government had targeted the integration tariff of Rp. 10 thousand to be implemented in April, then stretched again to June.

Syafrin said that the delay in the target was caused by a fairly long process. Starting from the discussion of determining tariffs with the DKI DPRD, to the preparation of regulations. Now, the tariff has been agreed and is just waiting for the governor's decision to be issued.

"The implementation of the Jaklingko Integration tariff is currently still waiting for the governor's decision, after the governor's decree is issued it will be implemented. According to the schedule, it will be implemented this month," said Syafrin in a short message, Tuesday, August 9.

If implemented, people will only have to pay Rp. 10 thousand to use three modes of transportation at once in a three-hour trip.

"Usually people use the MRT at a rate of Rp. 14 thousand and continue with Transjakarta for Rp. 3,500. So, when the integration tariff applies, the person concerned only has to pay Rp. 10 thousand," said Syafrin.

Meanwhile, if people only use one mode of transportation, they only need to pay according to the normal tariff for the transportation.

"For users of each mode, the tariff is fixed. For example, those who only take Transjakarta, they still pay Rp. 3,500. If you take the LRT, you pay according to the applicable tariff, which is Rp. 5,000," he said.

For information, the DKI Provincial Government and DKI Jakarta DPRD have agreed to determine the tariff for transportation integration since June 7, 2022.

In the working meeting of Commission B of the DKI DPRD together with the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government and BUMD in the transportation sector at that time, the DPRD also gave a recommendation for a trial period of transportation integration tariffs for 6 months.

"The approved integration tariff is IDR 10,000 with a trial period of 6 months from the date it was set and will be evaluated every 6 months for 1 year to find out the impact of implementing the integration package on community values using the mass transportation model," said Chairman of Commission B of the DKI DPRD, Ismail in the building DPRD DKI, Tuesday, June 7th.

The next recommendation is that the DPRD asks the DKI Provincial Government to report the number of community users or beneficiaries of the integration tariff package every 6 months for 1 year. This report is submitted by separating the data on the integration of youth community with DKI Jakarta ID cards and non-Jakarta ID cards.

The next recommendation is that free integration tickets can be given to 15 community groups.
