JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa said cooperation with Singapore is an opportunity for Indonesia to learn so that good relations between the two countries are maintained forever.

“I think Singapore has strong leadership in this region. I really appreciate it, I also hope to follow it,” said Andika.

On the same occasion, Chief Of Defense Force Singapore Lieutenant General Melvyn Ong said that a strong Indonesia is also a strength for Singapore.

“There is a lot of cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore, in the fields of politics, trade, tourism, and most importantly defense. Defense has a key role between Indonesia and Singapore," he said.

Ong expressed his gratitude to Andika Perkasa for consistently maintaining defense cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore. Cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore is not limited to chat, but supports each other, respects each other, and trusts each other.

"We have been in a relationship for many years and we want to continue this," Melvyn continued.

In addition, Melvyn also admitted that he missed the city of Bandung, West Java, especially regarding the culture there.
