Involved In Corruption In The Construction Of 251 Duafa House Units, North Aceh District Attorney Names 5 Suspects

ACEH - The North Aceh District Attorney's Investigation Team has named five suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction of 251 poor housing units in the area for the 2021 fiscal year.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the North Aceh District Attorney's Office, Arif Kadarman, said five suspects were determined based on the results of the examination of a number of witnesses, experts, and documents related to the construction of a home for the poor.

"Based on the results of the investigation and investigation, the investigation team has determined that five people should be responsible as suspects. The construction of the duafa house is managed by Baitul Mal, North Aceh Regency," said Arif Kadarman in North Aceh, Antara, Wednesday, August 3.

The five suspects, with the initials YI (43) as Head of Baitul Mal, North Aceh Regency concurrently directing the implementing team and ZZ (46) as Head of the Baitul Mal Secretariat, North Aceh Regency and also the power user of the budget concurrently directing the planning team.

Then, the suspect had the initials Z (39), the coordinator of the implementation team, M (49) as the official implementing technical activities (PPTK) and RS (36) as the head of the implementation team.

The five suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 Paragraph (1j in conjunction with Article 18 Paragraph (1) letter b, Paragraph (2) and Paragraph (3) of Law Number 31 of 1999 which was changed to Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) The 1st Criminal Code.

Then, violating Article 3 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 Paragraph (1) letter b, Paragraph (2) and Paragraph (3) of Law No. 31 of 1999 which was changed to Law No. 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) Ke- 1 Criminal Code.

Arif Kadarman said the alleged corruption began in 2021 when the Baitul Mal Secretariat of North Aceh Regency carried out work on the construction of 251 needy houses.

"The work is carried out on a self-managed basis with a budget of Rp. 11.2 billion, sourced from zakat funds that are included in the PAD specifically for North Aceh Regency," he said.

Construction of the house will begin on August 31, 2021, with a working period of 120 calendar days. However, until now most of the construction of the house has not been completed 100 percent.

"Meanwhile, the number of houses that were built is problematic. In handling this case, investigators also searched the Baitul Mal Office of North Aceh Regency and secured a number of documents related to the construction of the poor house," said Arif Kadarman.
