Ruben Amorim Doesn't Like Manchester United Supporters

Ruben Amorim prefers supporters to sing support for the players on the field rather than echo his name (Instagram/@manchesterunited).

Ruben Amorim said he was uncomfortable with Manchester United supporters singing his name.

He prefers them to show support to the players than to the coach.

United supporters have sang "Ruben Amorim" with the strain of KC and Sunshine Band's Give It Up song since the first game Ambitim against Ipswich Town.

The song echoed again throughout Old Trafford during a 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Although Amoriously happy the fans have accepted it after just three weeks in office, he insisted that the singing would prefer to be used to support the players.

"I don't like my songs, I don't like them. I feel a little embarrassed. Because I'm the coach, they have to sing chants for the players and the club. So, that's not a good thing for me."

"I understand and really appreciate the relationship with the fans, but I want them to support the team and the players because they are on the pitch and I am off the pitch."

"Even so, I really feel honored. I have a relationship with the fans. We know that we need results to defend it," said Amorim as reported by ESPN.

Amoram faced his biggest test as Manchester United manager when he brought his team to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, December 5, 2024, early morning WIB.

The Portuguese manager certainly expects a positive result to continue his slick journey at the Red Devils.

In the three matches he has played, Amoram has never lost. Manchester United won twice in a row and drew once.
