JAKARTA - The findings of the presidential social assistance package (bansos) in the form of rice found buried in Serab Village, Sukmajaya, Depok, West Java, are being investigated. The National Police said that from the data collection, the amount of rice found was 3,675 kilograms or 3.6 tons.

"A report has been made for the burial of 3,675 kilograms of rice or 289 sacks, equivalent to 139 KPM (beneficiary families, ed)," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, August 2.

Then, based on the results of the interim examination, the person who first found it, with the initials RS, said that the hundreds of sacks of rice were packaged in various sizes.

Ramadhan said, the rice was packed in sizes of 5 to 20 kilograms. In addition, several sacks of rice were also found scattered on the ground.

In addition, from the inspection of PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE), the social assistance rice was deliberately buried last year. The reason, because the rice is already damaged.

"It is known that JNE buried or buried the rice on November 5, 2021," said Ramadhan.

The presidential social assistance package was found in the Kampung Serab area, Sukmajaya, Depok, West Java, on Sunday, July 31.

The discovery of the presidential social assistance items for residents affected by COVID-19 buried in the ground was revealed after the heir of the land owner, Rudi Samin, carried out excavations using heavy equipment and was being handled by the Depok Police.
