JAKARTA - Political observer Rocky Gerung is furious with the positive response from Airlangga University (Unair) FISIP Professor Henri Subiakto to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) policy to block a number of digital sites and services.

Initially, Henri thought that this Kominfo policy was the most responded to by gamers.

According to Henri, these gamers were affected by the Kominfo blocking policy because they made blocked games a profession. Gamers also, undeniably need digital services for payments that are blocked by Kominfo.

"The closing of games that don't want to register as PSE, is so crowded by the response of children who are used to playing those games. Even for some of them they are made into professions or gamers," said Henri on his Twitter account, @henrysubiakto, Tuesday, August 2.

As a result of the blocking, Henri assessed that gamers reacted negatively to Kominfo's policy of blocking eight digital platforms because they did not register as Electronic System Operators (PSE) in Indonesia.

The digital platforms include Steam, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), Yahoo, Origin (EA), Steam, Dota, Xandr.com, Paypal to Epic Games.

Even Henri said the negative reaction of gamers was supported by social media accounts that were against the government.

He also concluded that this effort made those who were wrong because of the state regulations being disorganized to be right.

"The negative reaction of gamers is supported by anti-government accounts, making the guilty by ignoring state regulations seem right," said Henri.

Henri's words were then responded to by Rocky Gerung. With an angry tone, the former University of Indonesia lecturer made a statement that he did not agree with what Henri had said.

Register your brain first, so you can see the volume," wrote Rocky, who is no longer active on Twitter on his Twitter account, @rockygerung_rg, Tuesday, August 2.
