One Acehnese Hajj Congregation Dies Upon Arriving In Indonesia

BANDA ACEH - A pilgrim from Southeast Aceh, Rismawati Saudan Abdullah (51) reportedly died at the Regional General Hospital Dr Zainoel Abidin (RSUDZA) Banda Aceh.

"Ms. Rismawati Saudan, a woman from Southeast Aceh died at around 15:00 WIB at the RSUDZA," said the Coordinator of Public Relations and Information for the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) for the Debarkation of Aceh Tajri in Banda Aceh, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 2.

Rismawati joined in flying group two. After arriving from Saudi Arabia at Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (SIM) Aceh Besar on Wednesday (27/7). This congregation was immediately referred to RSUDZA for further treatment due to hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

Currently, said Tajri, the body has been curated, and will be returned to Kutacane, Southeast Aceh Regency for burial.

According to Tajri, currently five Acehnese pilgrims have died during the hajj season in 1443 Hijri or 2022 AD.

"Four pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia, while one pilgrim died in hospital treatment in Banda Aceh," he said.

Previously, Muslim bin Abdul Wahab Salam (51), a member of the first group from Pidie Jaya, died on the plane 15 minutes before landing at Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Airport on (15/6).

"He was diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)," he said.

Then Abdul Manaf bin Dahlan Abubakar (55) also from the first batch from Pidie Jaya who died at Al Noor Hospital, Mecca (10/7) and then due to acute kidney failure or acute kidney injury.

Furthermore, Nurkharijah bint Muhammad Yunus (64), a group of five congregation from West Aceh also died in Mecca on (16/7) due to Acute Ischemic heart disease.

Meanwhile, Intan Sani bint Abdullah (61), who was also a member of the fifth group from Southwest Aceh, died at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic in Mecca on (20/7) due to geriatric syndrome and congestive heart failure.
