BANDUNG - The Bandung City Government has implemented a Clean Emission Area as an effort to protect the environment and city air starting from the Bandung City Hall area.

Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana said that now vehicles that will be parked at Bandung City Hall must pass an exhaust emission test. He hopes that the program can reduce air pollution in the city of Bandung.

"Vehicles that do not have a sticker (pass exhaust emissions) will not be allowed to enter and park in the City Hall area," Yana said in Bandung, West Java, Antara, Wednesday, July 27.

Meanwhile, Bandung City Hall will officially become a Clean Emissions Area starting August 8, 2022. In addition, Yana also invites the public to take advantage of the free emission test held by the Bandung City Government for two days, namely 27-28 July 2022.

"Anyone for two free days is welcome to do an emission test. In particular, all ASN vehicles are mandatory, yes, for the public it is also allowed," he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Head of Transportation and Facilities of the Bandung City Transportation Service, Asep Kurnia, targets that there are 600 vehicles that can be tested in the free emission test.

"We are targeting approximately 300 vehicles per day," said Asep.

For people who want to test vehicle emissions other than in Bandung City Hall, according to him, they can visit 52 workshops in Bandung City that have collaborated with the Bandung City Government to carry out emission tests.

Meanwhile, for those who want to conduct emission tests at Bandung City Hall, according to Asep, people only need to bring their vehicle and STNK.

This free emission test service lasts for two days, namely on 27-28 July 2022. The emission test implementation starts at 09.00 WIB at Bandung City Hall.
