Anies Supports, But Residents Say They Are Uneasy Because Dukuh Atas CFW Is Held Every Day

JAKARTA - A number of people in DKI Jakarta admit that they are uncomfortable with the phenomenon of "Sudirman, Citayam, Bojonggede and Depok" (SCBD) teenagers who carry out Citayam Fashion Week activities in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta.

"So it's too crowded, because almost every day they come to hang out here," said one resident, Wahyu Purnomo, as reported by Antara, Saturday, July 23.

Wahyu felt uncomfortable when crossing the Dukuh Atas area to ride the electric circuit train (KRL) because the area became crowded.

Another resident, Anggi Putri, who almost every day passes through Sudirman station, Central Jakarta, said that the "SCBD" teenagers must maintain cleanliness so that other people can feel comfortable.

"I don't have a problem myself, after all, this is a public place, anyone can come here, just keep it clean, especially cigarette butts, don't throw them away," said the private bank employee.

Anggi also hopes that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to regulate and supervise these young people so that they are orderly and not disturbing in public spaces.

One of the employees of an information technology company, Ahmad Reza, said that the activities of SCBD teenagers caused crowds and ignored health protocols, such as not wearing masks.

"I see that many of them don't wear masks. If possible, the officers will also bring order to those who are negligent, I'm afraid that the COVID-19 case will rise again," said Reza.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan emphasized that there had been no prohibition on the Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) activity being held at the Dukuh Atas zebra crossing, Central Jakarta.

Anies Baswedan also added that teenagers can visit at any time and have activities without having to get permission first.
