JAKARTA - Political observer Hendri Satrio assesses that DPR RI Chair Puan Maharani is the most rational figure for PDIP to be promoted as a presidential or vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
"Currently, Puan Maharani is the most rational for PDIP," said Hendri as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, July 23.
According to Hendri Satrio, PDIP can make history by carrying Puan Maharani in 2024.

"So, there is not only a strong impression that the quality of Puan Maharani is indeed qualified because as Chair of the DPR RI, she has previously served as an ordinary member, faction leader, and even the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (FMD)," said the Founder of the Opinion Study and Discussion Group of Indonesian Public (KedaiKOPI).
More than that, he said, carrying Puan Maharani was not merely a matter of quality and achievement, but a factor in the history of the nation.
"In this case, there is a historical issue that PDIP is fighting for when it pushes Puan Maharani to become president. Yes, Soekarno's history," he explained.
