Assertive! TNI Commander General Andika: Don't Hesitate The Legal Process Of Members Who Break The Law

JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, has asked that there be no doubt in carrying out legal proceedings against members of the TNI who are proven to have violated laws and regulations. Especially if it has been proven to have committed abuse.

"I want there to be no doubts whatsoever. If there is a related party (TNI), just open it. Don't hesitate," said Andika Perkasa who was monitored from the YouTube channel @ Jendral TNI Andika Perkasa, Jakarta, Antara, Friday, July 22.

He made this statement in a routine meeting of the TNI's Legal Internal Team. Through the meeting, the TNI Commander said that he would continue to oversee the development of the legal process that took place within the TNI.

During the meeting, Andika Perkasa listened to the entire legal case presented by the Oditur General TNI Marsda Reki Irene Lumme.

The issue of transparency is the main concern of the TNI Commander in every case that occurs. One of the cases that caught Andika Perkasa's attention was the case of the mistreatment of members of the TNI which resulted in the death of the victim.

"This is already in the legal process. Tell me that this is one of my concerns. All relevant articles must be included," he said.

Strictly speaking, Andika Perkasa gave directions to the TNI, in particular the Military Oditurat, to always be careful in carrying out the legal process, ensuring that all relevant articles were included in the prosecution so that those related received the maximum sentence.

In addition, the Commander will impose sanctions by removing his membership status as a TNI unit.

“All relevant articles should not be absent. There are dead victims, don't play around," said Andika.
