COVID-19 Update As Of July 21: 5.410 New Cases, Recovered Cases Increase By 2.925

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 122.986 specimens were examined with the result that there were 5.410 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.154.494 people and active cases have increased by 2.480 to 36.781 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, July 21.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2.925 people, bringing the total to 5.960.833 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 5 cases and totaled 156.880 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 2.883 cases and a total of 1.304.172 cases. Followed by West Java which has 952 new cases with a total of 1.124.616 cases. Banten has 644 new cases and a total of 305.292 cases. East Java has 311 new cases and a total of 582.117 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1.820 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 383 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 303 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 170 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 102.562.428.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.09 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 6.200 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 202.079.997 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169.703.944 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 53.830.281. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
