Anies Forms Task Force To Review ACT's Operational Permit, Which Has Not Been Revoked Yet

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has formed a task force to review the permits for the operational activities of Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), an institution suspected of misappropriating donated funds by its top brass.

This was revealed by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria. This task force consists of several regional work units (SKPD) of the DKI Provincial Government.

"The permit (ACT) is still under discussion. A task force has been formed, yes. Already a team has been formed to carry out surveillance and checks", said Riza at the City Hall of DKI Jakarta, Thursday, July 21.

Later, the assessment of this task force will produce recommendations to the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) regarding the fate of ACT's licensing.

"We are checking, evaluating, and waiting for recommendations. Later PTSP will wait for recommendations from the Social Service after entering, it will be processed immediately. In principle, this is all in the process", he said,

Until now, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has not revoked the permit for ACT's operational activities. Permits for operational activities in the form of registers of social foundations and permits for ACT foundation activities are issued by DPMPTSP DKI Jakarta.

ACT's Operational Activity Permit from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government was issued in letter number 155/F 3/31.74.04.1003/-1.848/e/2019 which is valid until February 25, 2024.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that his party was still waiting for the results of the investigation from the police on this case before the DKI Provincial Government evaluated it and revoked the permit if the misappropriation of public funds was proven.

"Let the legal process run. We respect the legal process, especially the audit process. Let the legal rules be our reference. So, we want to respect law enforcement officers, respect audit officers who are carrying out the process and only take action after conclusions are drawn", Anies said on Sunday, July 10.

Anies' attitude is different from the response of the central government, in this case, the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) which has revoked the ACT Money and Goods Collection (PUB) permit in 2022 due to alleged violations of regulations.
