Reveal Evidence At Pretrial Alleged Bribery And Gratification In Tanah Bumbu, KPK: Mardani Maming Receives Rp104 Billion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it had obtained sufficient preliminary evidence regarding the alleged bribery and gratuities received by former Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani H. Maming.

The General Treasurer of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) is said to have received more than Rp. 104 billion in cash.

Mardani's acceptance figures were conveyed by KPK law firm member Ahmad Burhanudin at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, July 20.

"The details of the accumulation are Rp104,369,887,822," said Ahmad at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, July 20.

The receipt of the money, continued Ahmad, was carried out on April 20, 2014 to September 17, 2021. However, he did not specify the use of the money or who gave it.

Mardani received the money when he was still the Regent of Tanah Bumbu. This evidence was discovered by investigators.

"The receipt of money by Mardani H. Maming as the Regent of Tanah Bumbu, from April 20, 2014 to September 17, 2021," he said.

Previously reported, Mardani filed a pretrial lawsuit to the South Jakarta District Court after receiving a letter of naming the suspect from the KPK.

The Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) appointed members of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) DKI Jakarta Bambang Widjojanto and former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham) Denny Indrayana as legal counsel.

The chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) has been named a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification related to mining permits in Tanah Bumbu, Kalimantan. This corrupt practice allegedly occurred when Mardani was still in office.

The determination of Maming as a suspect by the KPK was initially known from the Directorate General of Immigration when confirming the existence of prevention abroad. Meanwhile, the KPK has not made an announcement because efforts to force detention have not been carried out.
