Calls Good News Up 47 Percent, Special Staff Of Minister Of SOEs Claims Public Information Disclosure By SOEs Increases

JAKARTA - The Special Staff (Stafsus) of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, acknowledged that there had been a major change in the disclosure of public information by State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

"Not only administrative matters, but this news issue also has a big change," said Arya in an education and dialogue forum entitled "The Process of Public Information Disclosure to Increase Awareness Culture and Optimizing Access to Information in the Financial and Banking Sector" in Bekasi, West Java, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, July 19.

This increase, Arya continued, can be seen from the increase in the good news about SOEs by 47 percent from 2020 to 2021, where there are around 664,000 reports about SOEs or the equivalent of 1820 news per day throughout 2021.

"In 2022, it will increase, we have not calculated the details but it will increase," he said.

The increase in the performance of public information disclosure of SOEs is also increasing in class from 2019 to 2021, he said the number of state-owned companies increased by 325 percent to be quite informative from 2019 to 2021.

"This is a change that we are making, so the steps are clear," said Arya.

In his presentation material, it was also stated that there was an increase in the number of state-owned companies to informative by 50 percent, then 15 of the 141 state-owned companies rose by 150 percent to become informative, and state-owned companies that were previously uninformative rose by 325 percent to become less informative.

Arya also explained that there was an increase in the quality of publications and communications from year to year, where there was a drastic decline from 79 SOEs that did not actively communicate agenda setting to the mass media in 2019-2020, to only 6 SOEs that were not yet optimal in implementing the agenda setting.

"Through the implementation of routine and measurable reporting and agenda setting orchestration, there has been an increase in communication and mass media literacy within SOEs 13 times better from 2019 to 2022," he explained.
