JAKARTA - The JakOne Pay digital transaction service managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the BUMD Bank DKI can now be used by foreign nationals (WNA) traveling in Jakarta.

Director of Technology and Operations of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, revealed this non-cash payment application with a server-based QRIS scan method makes it easier for tourists to transact.

"This application supports transactions to scan to pay QRIS, as well as other server-based electronic money activities. Without the need to change numbers to national numbers, foreign tourists can already transact using QRIS", said Amirul in his statement, Monday, July 17.

In addition, Amirul said that these foreign tourists can also top up their balance or top up the JakOne Pay application using their credit cards.

"The tourism sector in Indonesia certainly cannot be separated from the digitalization of banking services, as presented in the JakOne Pay service. If tourism in Indonesia continues to increase, it will also encourage the increase of the MSME sector", he said.

Furthermore, Amirul explained that until the period of June 2022, QRIS transactions through Bank DKI's JakOne Mobile grew 742 percent (YoY) to IDR 22.4 billion compared to the June 2021 period of IDR 2.6 billion.

"In addition to QRIS transactions, as of June 2022, the number of JakOne Mobile users has also reached 1.7 million users, with a nominal transaction amount of IDR 9.1 trillion, and transaction volume reaching 10.8 million transactions", explained Amirul.

Meanwhile, JakOne Pay as electronic money belonging to Bank DKI is available in several applications such as Jakarta Xplore and Ancol Apps that facilitate non-cash payments as a form of collaboration in the tourism sector.
