Had Delayed, JIS Grand Launching Held July 24

JAKARTA - The grand launching of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) is planned to be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022. The plan for the inauguration of this international standard stadium was postponed because it was canceled on June 25.

"The plan is for the (Grand launching of JIS) on July 24," said the Daily Executive (Plh) of the Jakarta Regional Secretary, Sigit Wijatmoko when met at JIS, North Jakarta, Saturday, July 16.

Sigit revealed that there will be two main events in the JIS grand launching, namely an international football match and a concert event featuring a number of musicians.

However, Sigit does not want to reveal in more detail about the football team that will compete or perform at the concert later.

"Who is the team, the details, and who will appear will be explained at the press conference in the context of the grand launching of JIS. Next Monday we are still meeting the details," he said.

As is known, initially the JIS grand launching was planned to be part of a series of celebrations for the 495th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta entitled Jakarta Celebration at the peak event on Saturday, June 25.

At that time, the DKI Provincial Government was scheduled to invite a number of musicians as performers for the JIS grand launching event, both on a national and international scale.

One of them, international musicians who will attend are Niki Zefanya and Rich Brian. The two singers from Indonesia are included in a music label from the United States, namely 88rising.

"For the grand launching at JIS on June 25, 2022, the potential performers are 88rising, Niki and Rich Brian," said Head of DKI Jakarta Administration Bureau Andriyansah at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, May 23.

Besides Niki and Rich Brian, the JIS grand launching will also be enlivened by singers Raisa Andriana, Rizky Febian, Isyana Sarasvati, Gamaliel, Marion Jola, and Boy William as the host or MC.

In the grand launching of this international standard stadium, the DKI Provincial Government will also present the Persija football club with the first kick off by Bambang Pamungkas. However, the grand launching was apparently postponed.
