Donald Trump's First Wife Dies, Ivanka: Heartbroken By Mother's Passing

JAKARTA - Former US President Donald Trump is grieving. His first wife who gave birth to 3 children, Ivana, died.

"I am deeply saddened to inform all those who loved her, who numbered in large numbers, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City," Donald Trump said in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Friday July 15.

"She was a wonderful, beautiful and extraordinary woman, who lived a great and inspiring life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. She was so proud of them, as are we all proud of her. Rest in peace, Ivana!" Donald continued as quoted from NBC News. Trump's first daughter Ivanka also expressed her deep sadness. Ivanka said she will always remember that moment with her mother. "Heartbroken over my mother's passing. She was brilliant, charming, passionate and very funny. She lived life to the fullest — never missing a chance to laugh and dance. I will miss her forever. and will keep his memory alive in our hearts always."

Ivana Trump has died at the age of 73. The cause of his death is unknown.

But the New York City Fire Department said it was responding to reports of a heart attack at Ivana Trump's Manhattan home. And when the team arrived, they found Ivana dead.

A senior New York City official told NBC News that Ivana Trump was found on the spiral staircase of her apartment by authorities when they arrived.

City officials said there was no indication of a violation. His body will be taken to the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
