MEKKAH - Members of the Indonesian pilgrims who have died in the Holy Land have so far recorded 49 people. The burial of their bodies has been taken care of by the maktab or office that regulates the affairs of the pilgrimage.

"So we report to the Maktab party, later the Maktab party will immediately take care of everything from bathing, shrouds, praying, even burial," said Saudi Arabia's Head of the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) Arsad Hidayat in Mecca as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 14. .

According to him, the member of the pilgrimage who died in Saudi Arabia was buried according to the place where he died.

Pilgrims who died while in the city of Medina will be buried in Medina and pilgrims who died in the city of Mecca will be buried in Mecca.

The flight group officer (kloter) will convey information about the member of the pilgrims who died in the Holy Land to the family before the government sends an official notification letter to the family.

"We will officially send the death notification letter to the family. Because it is related to many things, whether for example if you die before wukuf there must be a pilgrimage. So I think that is very important," said Arsad.

Meanwhile, the belongings of the deceased members of the hajj pilgrims will be entrusted to the crew of the crew to be handed over to their families.

"So make sure that if there is such information, immediately report it to the crew so that the crew can bring it and convey it to their families in Indonesia," he said.
