JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs highlighted the case of police shooting police at the shelter for the Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Mahfud said that this case must be fully disclosed because there are many irregularities.

Mahfud MD in a statement via the mohmahfudmd Instagram account, Wednesday, July 13, said that the step of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to form a joint investigation team was the right one. The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs emphasized that Mahfud MD would guard it.

"This case cannot be allowed to just flow because there are many irregularities that emerged from the handling process, as well as the Police's own explanation, which is not clear about the relationship between the cause and effect of each chain of events," said Mahfud MD.

"As the Head of Kompolnas, I have ordered the Secretary of Kompolnas Benny J. Mamoto to actively investigate this case in order to help the POLRI make the case clear," continued Mahfud.

Currently, the progress of handling the case of police shooting the police, called Mahfud, is good.

"The progress is also good because apart from forming a team, the National Police Chief has also announced to cooperate with Kompolnas and Komnas HAM to clearly reveal this case," he said.

Special Team At Work

Meanwhile, a special team formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has started working on the case of Brigadier J's death due to a shootout with Bharada E at the shelter of the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. The search for evidence and clues was carried out.

"The special team has been working and when it is finished we will inform you," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Wednesday, July 13.

However, the details of the initial steps taken by the special team in handling the case were not given in detail.

So far, Ramadhan has only emphasized that the Police will be committed to resolving the case.

"We convey that the leadership of the National Police is committed to resolving this case thoroughly," said Ramadhan.

The initial step taken by the special team is suspected to be by conducting investigations at the scene of the case at the shelter for the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, at the Duren Tiga Police complex, Pancoran, South Jakarta.
