Viral Brimob Threw The Cat Into The Trench, The Reason Was Upset The Food Was Taken

JAKARTA - The police officer who threw the cat into the trench with the initials SS from the Brimob Unit of the North Sumatra Regional Police. SS is currently undergoing an investigation regarding actions deemed inappropriate.

Based on the results of the interim examination, the incident started when SS was eating. While eating, the cat seizes SS's food. As a result the SS was annoyed and threw the cat into the ditch. He said the SS did not do this on purpose.

"The person concerned accidentally, while eating in the afternoon when he was guarding, his food was seized by the cat, he was upset and threw the cat into the ditch," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono to reporters, Thursday, November 5.

According to Awi, this action was not recent, but two months ago. This action was busy because the video recorded by one of his colleagues went viral on social media.

Awi could not conclude that SS's actions were guilty or not. Because, until now SS is still undergoing examination. If the results of the examination are found guilty, he will be given strict sanctions.

The witnesses are given in accordance with the Chief of Police Regulation (Perkap) number 14 of 2011 concerning Polri's professional code of ethics, and personality ethics as stated in article 11 letter c.

"Of course we will act decisively in accordance with applicable laws," he said.

The action of Briptu SS was recorded in a 13-second video that went viral on Instagram social media. The video shows Briptu SS slamming a kitten into a ditch.

The SS Brigadier, who was wearing the Brimob uniform, looked relaxed after throwing the kitten. The video also drew many angry comments from netizens. The video was originally shared by the Instagram account @christian_joshuapale.
