The IPAL facility will be built on an area of approximately 5.8 hectares, located in Sei Selayur Village, Kalidoni District, Palembang.

"The construction of the IPAL project is targeted to be completed and operational in early 2022 with a total water capacity of more than 20,000 discharge per day," said M. Toha Fauzi, Operations Director 2 of PTPP in a written statement, Thursday, November 5.

The construction of this WWTP was also financed by a grant from the Australian Government of US $ 45 million. Meanwhile, the main distribution will be financed by the APBN and house connections will be financed by the City Government of Palembang and the Province of South Sumatra.
