Beside A Travel Requirement, Booster Vaccine Will Also Be A Requirement For Visiting Public Facilities To Offices

JAKARTA - The government has implemented a third dose of COVID-19 vaccination certificate or booster as a travel requirement starting on 17 July. If the public has not received a booster vaccination, they must include a negative result of the RT PCR and antigen test.

In addition, the government also plans to make booster vaccination a condition for visiting public or public facilities.

This is stated in the Circular (SE) of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Number 440/3917/SJ concerning Acceleration of Advanced Dose Vaccination (Booster) for the Community.

The circular, which was signed on July 11, contains an appeal to governors and regents/mayors regarding efforts to prevent and control COVID-19.

The Director General of Regional Administration (Adwil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal ZA, said this SE was a form of support for accelerating the implementation of booster doses nationally through proactive, persuasive, focused, and coordinated strategies.

"The booster vaccination is also used as a condition for people who will travel within the country and participate in activities that have the potential to cause crowds," said Safrizal in his statement, Tuesday, July 12.

Safrizal said, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian assigned regional heads to require booster vaccinations as a requirement to enter public facilities which include offices, factories, public parks, tourist attractions, art locations, culture, restaurants/restaurants, cafes, shopping centers/malls/centers. commerce, and other public areas.

"This is an exception for people who cannot be vaccinated for reasons of special health conditions by requiring them to attach a doctor's certificate from a government hospital/health facility and children under 18 years of age," said Safrizal.

Then, regions are also asked to carry out the acceleration of booster vaccination up to the level of government based on sub-districts, wards, villages, neighborhood associations (RW), neighborhood units (RT), by involving religious leaders, community leaders, traditional leaders, PKK Team, community organizations, youth organizations, professional organizations, colleges of health sciences that mobilize young doctors, nurses, and other human resources.

Also, intensify the implementation of booster vaccinations centrally in public places such as offices, factories, places of worship, markets, and terminals.

"Efforts to expand the coverage of booster doses of vaccination certainly require intensive collaboration in the field, both within the scope of Forkopimda at the provincial and district/city levels, including reinforcing pentahelix cooperation by involving religious leaders, community leaders and the media. Through the issuance of this SE, it is hoped that it can accelerate the increase in concrete booster vaccination achievements in the field," he added.
