JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has allowed the CGV bioksop to increase the capacity of the audience in the auditorium. Previously, the audience was limited to 25 percent of normal capacity, now it has been allowed as much as 50 percent.

"CGV has received technical approval from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for additional capacity in the auditorium space from 25 percent to 50 percent," said CGV Public Relations Hariman Chalid in his statement, Thursday, November 5.

Hariman said that the permit for additional audience capacity was issued by the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) in a decree (SK) on November 3, 2020.

Before the decree was issued, CGV had applied for permission to increase the capacity of the audience in the auditorium since 27 October.

The DKI Provincial Government then followed up on the proposal by calling CGV to the Disparekraf to explain the documentation of the health protocol that had been implemented in the cinema and the evaluation results after a week the cinema returned to operation.

Until finally, the additional audience capacity in the auditorium was approved, but still had to comply with the protocol to prevent the spread of COVID-19, which was stated in the Decree of the Head of Disparekraf Number 259 of 2020.

"This technical agreement is valid during the transitional PSBB period and can be reviewed if there is a change in the transitional PSBB status or the conditions for the spread of Covid-19 in the DKI Jakarta Province are not yet conducive," Hariman explained.

As is known, CGV has re-opened four cinemas in Jakarta with an audience capacity of 25 percent. The cinemas are located at CGV Grand Indonesia, CGV AEON Mall Jakarta Garden City, CGV Transmart Cempaka Putih, and CGV Green Pramuka Mall.

There is a health protocol implemented by CGV Jakarta in opening theaters, namely the mandatory use of masks while in the cinema area and reducing the capacity of the audience in the studio.

In addition, CGV will carry out a tracking system with QR Code and Manual and always spray disinfectant liquid after filming.

Meanwhile, visitors who are allowed to watch the CGV cinema are currently only allowed from 12 to 60 years. Viewers who want to visit CGV are advised to purchase tickets digitally.
