ICW Asks Firli Bahuri To Relieve Lili Pintauli To Attend The Ethics Session Of KPK Supervisory Board

JAKARTA - The head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri was asked to relieve the deputy chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Lili Pintauli Siregar. The goal is that she can be present at the ethics session held by the KPK Supervisory Board.

The KPK Supervisory Board will hold an ethics session because Lili is suspected of receiving accommodation and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP from PT Pertamina (Persero).

"We ask that Firli Bahuri as the Chairperson of the KPK can guarantee the presence of Sister Lili by releasing her duties during the trial of the alleged violation of the code of ethics," said Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) researcher Kurnia Ramadhana in a written statement quoted on Monday, July 11.

Kurnia said that Lili was released from her duties so that she would no longer be absent from the summons of the KPK Supervisory Board. The former deputy head of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) is known to have not attended the ethics hearing on Tuesday, July 5.

Lili was not present because she was a speaker at the second round of the Anti Corruption Group Work (ACWG) activity in Nusa Dua, Bali. This activity was attended by delegates from 20 G20 member countries.

"This is important so that embarrassing incidents like last week do not happen again," he said.

Furthermore, Lili was also reminded to cooperate with her alleged ethical violations. If she is no longer present, the KPK Council is asked to implement Supervisory Board Regulation No. 3 of 2020 Article 7 Paragraph 4.

In that article, Lili's ethical allegations can still be carried out even though she is not present as being investigated. "Later on, Ms. Lili's uncooperative attitude must be recorded by the Supervisory Board and must be used as a basis for increasing her sentence," said Kurnia.

Lili was again reported to the KPK Council for allegedly receiving hotel accommodation facilities and tickets to watch the 2022 MotoGP race at the Mandalika International Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), from PT Pertamina (Persero).

In dealing with the alleged receipt, the KPK Supervisory Board has collected materials and information from related parties, including the state-owned company. President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati has also been examined some time ago and provided additional information in writing.

Not only that, the KPK Council has also asked related parties to bring proof of booking accommodation at Amber Lombok Beach Resort and Mandalika MotoGP tickets at the Grandstand Premium Zone A-Red.
