Only In May 2022, There Are 19 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine In Malang City And That Has Been Destroyed

JAKARTA - Malang Police together with Forkopimda destroyed tens of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, the result of disclosure during May 2022.

Deputy Mayor of Malang Sofyan Edi Jarwoko expressed his appreciation for the police who are working hard to create Malang City Clean from Drugs (Bersinar).

"I give my appreciation to the Malang City Police who are working hard to eradicate drugs in this city in order to create Malang Bersinar City," said Sofyan Edi, Friday, July 8, quoted from Antara.

The methamphetamine-type drugs destroyed were evidence of the suspect with the initials MR, S, and J who were caught at the end of May 2022. The total evidence that was secured was 19.42 kilograms.

Of the evidence, as much as 40 grams for evidence in court, 10 grams were sent to the forensic laboratory for examination, and the remaining 19.37 kilograms were culled today.

Evidence of the type of methamphetamine was destroyed by blender and mixed with chemical liquid, then put in a large container to be destroyed.

In addition to destroying tens of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, approximately 100 bottles of liquor were also destroyed.

On that occasion, the Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Malang City Police, Kompol Danang Yudanto, added that the action was to eradicate drugs, especially in Malang City, to be preventive and repressive.

"If it's repressive, maybe we can synergize with BNN. However, for preventive actions we still need assistance from all comprehensive parties," said Danang.

Danang asked all parties to jointly carry out early detection in their respective environments so that they are free from drug trafficking. This is the key to eradicating drug trafficking in the community.

"All parties such as law enforcement, BNN, and related parties must work together to share data and information as the key to eradicating drugs because Malang City is one of the places of circulation," he said.
