It's Useless To Just Memorize, Minister Of Education And Technology Nadiem Asks Students To Implement Pancasila In Daily Life

JAKARTA - Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Anwar Makarim does not want students to only memorize Pancasila but needs to apply it in everyday life.

"I don't want you to only be able to memorize Pancasila because what is more important is that you understand why it is very important for us to have and apply all these profiles, and become Pancasila students," said Nadiem in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, July 5. .

He added that young people in Indonesia not only know the six profiles of Pancasila Students, but implement them in their daily lives, all the time, throughout their lives.

Minister Nadiem reminded again of the six values that build the Pancasila Student Profile, namely faith, fear of God Almighty, and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical and creative reasoning.

Furthermore, the Minister of Education and Technology hopes that the six profiles of Pancasila Students can be a provision for all young people to achieve future goals, according to their respective interests and potentials. Therefore, Nadiem advised Indonesian children to continue to be enthusiastic about learning and practicing the noble values of Pancasila in their daily lives.

“Because academic intelligence combined with strong character will help the younger siblings to step into the future and face all challenges. By becoming a Pancasila student who has intelligent character, I am sure that you will be able to get through it all," he said again.

Strengthening Minister Nadiem's statement, Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Kemendikbudristek Franka Makarim explained the need for the younger generation to have the spirit of Pancasila students.

He said that the six profiles of Pancasila Students are an interrelated unit, so to become Pancasila Students and reach their goals, children need to have and develop these six profiles.

"Hopefully the spirit in applying the noble values of Pancasila will continue to be maintained so that the younger brothers and sisters continue to do good in their daily lives, in accordance with the values of Pancasila. Always remember that there is no impossible dream as long as we are Pancasila Students," explained Franka.

Franka Makarim hopes that the next generation of the nation can learn well when they are still in school and become successful figures in the future.
