G20 Ministers Meeting In Belitung, Internet Speed Must Be Strengthened Immediately

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government of the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel)will focus on strengthening telecommunication and internet networks in four locations where the G20 Ministerial Meeting in Belitung Island will be held on 7-9 September 2022.

"We provide high-speed telecommunications and internet network services to ensure the success of the G20 on Belitung Island," said the Assistant for General Administration of the Regional Secretariat of the Babel Archipelago Province, Yunan Helmi in Pangkalpinang, Tuesday, June 28, quoted from Antara.

Telecommunication and internet networks at the four locations of the Belitung Island G20 implementation in the Tanjung Kelayang Area, HKM Juru Seberang, Bukit Paramon, and Open Fit Nam Salu.

"This internet signal strengthening service is carried out specifically and is focused on four locations that will be visited by the delegates of the development ministerial level delegation later," he said.

Based on information from the Directorate General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo), the provider will support signal strengthening at the four locations, starting from field checks, signal strengthening, to providing internet networks.

"The measurement results of Belitung's quality of service by Indosat, Telkomsel, and XL on June 7, 2022, show that some areas need internet signal quality, so they need strengthening to be even stronger," he said.

The Head of Diskominfo for the Province of the Babel Archipelago, Sudarman, initiated the provider to immediately present Compact Mobile BTS (Combat) infrastructure to open connectivity access at certain location points, especially in the Sheraton Hotel area.

In addition, by increasing the hotspot capacity around Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Tinggi beaches.
