JAKARTA - Head of Public Relations of PT Kereta Api Indonesia Daop 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa, said that more than 12 thousand long-distance train passengers underwent rapid tests at Pasar Senen and Gambir Stations during the long holiday at the end of October.

The implementation of the COVID-19 rapid test is a requirement that must be carried out by passengers using the Daop 1 Jakarta train before traveling outside the city during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It is recorded that on October 24 to October 29, 2020, rapid services at Pasar Senen and Gambir Stations serve up to around 12,781 potential passengers," Eva said in a written statement, Friday, October 30.

In the Daop 1 Jakarta area, rapid test services for prospective passengers are served at Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station with operating hours from 07.00 WIB to 19.00 WIB at a cost of IDR 85,000.

Prospective train passengers who want to carry out a rapid test at the station must have a long-distance train ticket booking code that has been paid in full.

Eva said, the increase in train passengers ahead of the long holiday also had an impact on the tight queues for the COVID-19 rapid test at the station.

"Therefore, to avoid delays or lagging behind the train, passengers are advised to carry out a rapid test H-1 before the scheduled departure for prospective passengers who want to take advantage of the rapid test service at the station," Eva explained.

Even so, the rapid test for prospective train passengers does not have to be done at the station but can also be done at the nearest clinics that provide rapid test facilities.

According to Eva, prospective passengers who are caught reactive during the rapid test are not allowed to travel by train.

"When you are unable to travel, tickets will be refunded 100 percent of duty outside of the order fee and it is advisable to carry out further health checks," he concluded.
