Ganjar Reads PDIP's Recommendation Regarding The Decisions Of The Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates Decisions Of The General Chair, Djarot: It Just Flows

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat emphasized that the reading of the recommendations of the results of the Second National Working Meeting (Rakernas) read by the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, had no hidden intentions.

Ganjar read out a number of recommendation points in the field of Pancasila Ideology, Political System, and the 2024 General Election. One of the points is related to the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidates which will be determined by the PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"All governors who were present were given the opportunity (to read, ed). This indicates that the recommendation applies to all, both within our party, it is also an obligation to implement it," Djarot told reporters in Jakarta, quoted on Friday, June 24.

Regarding the distribution of recommendations that were read out, Djarot admitted that he did not know. He said the idea just flowed from the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto.

"It just flows (from, ed) Mr. Secretary General," said the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"If he goes to the section to discuss ideology and then the political system, it's actually so that Pak Ganjar really in his leadership implements and upholds the Pancasila ideology," he added.

As previously reported, PDIP has formulated a number of recommendations from the second National Working Meeting which was held for three days, from Tuesday, June 21 to Thursday, June 23. One of the recommendations read was related to the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

It was the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, who was lined up to read out recommendations related to Pancasila ideology, the political system, and the 2024 General Election.

"The Party's Second National Working Meeting confirms that the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs that will be carried by the PDI-P in the 2024 Election based on the decision of the Party's V Congress, the Party's Articles of Association, and democratic traditions is the prerogative of the General Chairperson of the Megawati Soekarnoputri Party," said Ganjar when reading out party recommendations at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Thursday, June 23.

When Ganjar read out this recommendation, a number of cadres who were present in the PDIP DPP Party School Hall shouted the word 'Freedom'. The atmosphere was boisterous for a moment while Ganjar on the podium continued his reading.
