JAKARTA - A total of 192,810 participants or 24 percent of the total 800,852 participants who registered were declared to have passed through the Joint Selection to Enter State Universities (SBMPTN) throughout Indonesia.

Of the 800,852 participants who registered, 745,142 people met the requirements and attended the exam, consisting of 518,187 regular participants and 226,955 Indonesian Smart Card (KIP) participants.

The number of participants accepted at the 2022 SBMPTN is based on a minimum quota of 40 percent of the total capacity of state universities (PTN) other than Legal Entity PTNs and a minimum quota of 30 percent of the total capacity of PTN BH with a total capacity of 213,406 seats.

The capacity is spread across 74 universities, 11 state Islamic religious colleges (PTKIN), and 39 state polytechnics throughout Indonesia.

With 192,810 participants passing the SBMPTN, there were 20,596 empty seats or the capacity was not met.

A total of 192,810 people who passed the SBMPTN consisted of 96,665 participants in the Science and Technology study program and 96,145 participants in the Social and Humanities study program (Soshum).

The selection was also attended by 392 participants with disabilities who met the requirements with a total of 25 people being accepted into the Science and Technology study program and 42 people from the Soshum study program.

Based on the study program choice groups, as many as 88,703 people or 24.65 percent passed the selection from a total of 359,791 participants in the Science and Technology study program group.

Meanwhile, in the Soshum study program group, participants who passed the SBMPTN were 86,801 or 23.29 percent of the total 86,801 participants who registered and met the requirements.

Meanwhile, as many as 17,306 people or 25.32 percent of the total 68,347 registrants who meet the requirements in the mixed group.
