Foreigner From China Who Stabbed A Co-worker In Cengkareng, Had Time To Hide In A Luxury Apartment In Grogol, West Jakarta

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) arrested LQ (36) a foreign citizen (WNA) from China who stabbed XT (33) in a luxury apartment in the West Jakarta area.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for West Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Joko Dwi Harsono said that the perpetrator of the stabbing with the initials LQ often moved places after stabbing the victim.

"We managed to apprehend the perpetrator after carrying out the investigation process. The perpetrator was detained in an apartment in the Grogol Petamburan area, West Jakarta," said AKBP Joko, Tuesday, June 21.

The arrest of the suspect was led by the Crime Unit Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Avrilendy. From the arrest of the suspect, the police also confiscated a sharp weapon used by the perpetrator to stab the victim.

"The police managed to secure a sharp weapon, the type of knife used by the perpetrator. As well as the clothes worn by the perpetrator when carrying out the action," he said.

As is known, the suspect LQ works at an electronic shipping service with his wife and victim in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta.

Although both (suspect and victim) are foreigners from China, the perpetrators are punished according to the law in force in Indonesia.

"The perpetrator is threatened with Article 353 paragraph 2 regarding planned persecution with a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the West Jakarta Metro Police succeeded in arresting the perpetrator of the stabbing of victim XT (33), a foreign citizen (WNA) from China, which occurred in a shophouse in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta.

The perpetrator of the stabbing is a Chinese foreigner with the initials LQ (36), while the victim is also a foreigner from China, XT.

The motive for the stabbing incident was revenge because it was suspected that the fire was burning with jealousy. The suspect's wife LQ is suspected of having a close relationship with the victim XT.

To the officers, the suspect admitted that he had the heart to do the stabbing because he was jealous of his wife's close relationship with the victim.
