Officially Becoming A NasDem Presidential Candidate, Ganjar Pranowo Makes Sure He Is Upright With Megawati's Choice

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo opened his voice after being announced by the NasDem Party as one of 3 strong candidates to be championed as presidential candidates in the future.

But Ganjar relaxed with NasDem's decision. He emphasized that he wanted to concentrate on his duties as governor.

"It's too early to talk about it now because it's still a long way, so we are preparing to help with the stages of the election. I'd better do my job as governor first," said Ganjar in his official statement, Saturday, June 18.

Ganjar said the coordination meeting held by the PDI-P with the heads and deputy regional heads for two days did not mention the 2024 presidential election.

"Nothing, nothing," he said.

Furthermore, Ganjar stated that he would comply with all decisions and directives from PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. Even if later he is not nominated in the 2024 presidential election.

"Everything is straight to the decision, and that is what has become the congress's decision, the General Chairperson's full prerogative," he said.

Ganjar also conveyed that being upright with all Megawati's directions and decisions was a strength symbolized by PDIP in its meeting in order to win the 2024 General Election.

"You have to be perpendicular to Bu Ketum, everyone is no exception and that's the power that was symbolized in the meeting, the end of which is the march of ranks to win the elections in 2024 later," he said.

On the other hand, Ganjar said that PDIP is also a cadre of establishing good communication between party cadres.

"So the executive part of the three pillars has concluded, they must come down to communicate with the lowest level, easy communication and high discipline," said Ganjar.
