Responding to this, Gerindra Party spokesman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad emphasized that his party had also provided an explanation of Mulan's relationship with MeMiles to the police.

"Even though we have said it, I am not talking as the leader of the DPR. The Gerindra faction has conveyed to the East Java Regional Police through the liaison officer at the Police Headquarters that Mulan Jameela is complete with her contract, and we have also shown that she was summoned only to perform as a singer. that is not prohibited in the Law or the DPR Standing Orders, "he said, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 15.

Even so, Dasco asked Mulan to fulfill the East Java Regional Police's summons. He also asked the East Java Regional Police to follow the procedure for summoning DPR members according to applicable regulations.

As a good citizen, we will suggest that if the East Java Regional Police Chief follows the existing procedures, yes. We will ask Mulan. Jameela followed the existing procedures too, "he said.

Regarding Mulan Jameela's statement that he would fulfill the summons if President Jokowi's permission, Dasco explained that summons for members of the board must have the president's permission.

"So you see, according to the MD3 Law, if it is not a special criminal suspicion, summoning members of the DPR must have the president's permission. So, if the East Java Police wants to call, yes, it must follow the applicable procedures," he explained.

Previously, the Special Staff of the President for Early Legal Affairs Shanti Purwono said that the East Java Regional Police did not need to ask President Jokowi's permission to examine Mulan Jameela. This is because the status of Mulan's summons is still a witness or party being questioned.

Dini's statement refers to Article 245 paragraph (1) of the Law on the People's Consultative Assembly, the People's Representative Council, the Regional Representative Council, and the Regional Representative Council (MD3 Law), does not mention the president's permission when calling members of the DPR as witnesses.

However, if in the future there is an increase in the status of a suspect, the police must ask the president's permission to summon a member of the DPR, including Mulan.
