Online Prostitution Admin And Room Owners Are Not Aware Of The Prospective Customers Is Undercover Police

SERANG - NA (22) works as an online admin at one of the plus-plus massage parlors at Ruko Mardigras Citra Raya, Panongan, Tangerang Regency. Before finally being arrested, NA had a conversation with potential customers who would use the services of the therapists he provided. But unlucky for NA, it turns out that the prospective customer is a police officer who disguises himself as a customer, in order to expose the practice of online prostitution.

Special Crime Investigation Directorate of Banten Police, Grand Commissioner Pol Dedi Supriyadi, said that from revealing this case the officers managed to secure the two perpetrators, the shop owner, and an admin.

"At the TKP (the crime scene) the officers managed to secure two perpetrators, namely HM (42) as a shop owner and NA (22) as a social media admin operator. Then the officers also secured 9 therapists," said Dedi in a written statement, Wednesday, June 15.

Dedi said that the initial disclosure of this online prostitution case began with cyber patrols carried out by personnel from the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Banten Police.

"When officers carried out cyber patrols on the Michat platform there was an account selling online prostitution services. Then the officers carried out an investigation by conducting conversations and it turned out that it was true that the account offered online prostitution services. In the discussion, NA invited to carry out the transaction of prostitution in a shop-house located in Mardigras," explained Dedi.

Dedi added that after receiving the information, the officers immediately moved to the shophouse in Mardigras.

"Arriving at the shophouse, NA offers nine therapists who can provide plus-plus services at a price of 500 thousand, where prostitution transactions will be carried out in the rooms in the shophouse," added Dedi.

Based on this information, the officers immediately secured the perpetrator NA along with nine therapists and HM as the shop owner.

"From the results of the examination, it was obtained a legal fact that HM as the owner of the place employed NA actors to operate the Michat account to peddle nine therapists at a price of 500 thousand with a profit-sharing of 100 thousand for the owner of the place, 50 thousand for operator services. And the rest for the therapists, "said Dedi.

Related to this case, investigators have confiscated evidence of 3 units of cellphones and the proceeds of crime amounting to IDR 3,090,000.

"For these actions, investigators ensnared the two suspects with online prostitution as stipulated in Article 45 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph (1) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE and/or or Article 296 of the KHUP in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) with the threat of a maximum imprisonment of six years or a maximum fine of one billion rupiah," concluded Dedi.
