Residents Find Unidentified Bodies In Aceh's Krueng River

BANDA ACEH - The people of Miruk Village, Krueng Barona Jaya District, Aceh Besar District were shocked by the discovery of an unidentified corpse floating on the banks of the Krueng Aceh River.

"I saw it first, after that I immediately reported it to the Koramil", said resident Miruk Fajriadi, at the location where the body was found, in Aceh Besar, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 15.

Fajriadi said the body was first seen at around 08.14 WIB because it was next to his garden, so he reported it to the local Koramil.

The discovery of the unidentified corpse and the clothes shocked the residents, even causing a traffic jam on the national road. Until finally the Banda Aceh Basarnas team evacuated.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Banda Aceh Police, Commissioner M Ryan Citra Yudha, said the body of the alleged man was evacuated to the Zainoel Abidin General Hospital (RSUDZA) Banda Aceh for a post-mortem and an autopsy.

"We do a post-mortem and autopsy so that we know the identity of this corpse, from the characteristics and other things we will get, we can also get the cause of death", he said.

Ryan said that some time ago his party also received reports related to missing persons, and his party immediately confirmed the findings of this body.

"We ask that the family who feel the loss can also report it as soon as possible so that the matching process (the identity of the corpse) can be carried out", said Commissioner Ryan.
