BENGKULU - The Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) of Bengkulu Province said as many as two thousand more honorary workers in Bengkulu Province were threatened with being laid off in November 2023.

Therefore, the Head of the Bengkulu Province BKD, Gunawan Suryadi, plans to propose additional formations for Government Employees with a Work Agreement (PPPK).

"About 2,000 more honorary environmental workers from the Bengkulu Provincial Government are threatened with being removed in November 2023," said Gunawan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 14.

This is in accordance with the contents of a circular letter from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform.

According to him, his party is currently in the mapping and data collection stage for honorary workers who work within the Bengkulu Provincial Government.

Currently, all regional apparatus organizations are asked to convey the need for positions for the proposed addition of the P3K position formation to the Menpan-RB.

Gunawan said the addition of PPPK's position formation would be a solution for honorary workers who were in danger of being removed.

Because the abolition of honorary workers will have an impact on the increase in the number of unemployed in Bengkulu Province.

And honorary workers are still needed within the Bengkulu Provincial Government and his party proposes to take part in the PPPK selection as a solution while waiting for the development of the discourse next year.
