Southeast Asian Hajj Muthawif Institutions Expected To Improve Services This Year

MAKKAH - The Head of the Makkah Working Area (Daker) Mukhammad Khanif hopes that the Southeast Asian Hajj Muthawif Institute can provide the best service to Indonesian pilgrims and this year should be special compared to the previous ones.

"This year there is a process that is given as an increase in service quality," said Khanif as quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 12.

Previously, hajj officers who were members of the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) of Daker Mecca met with the Southeast Asian Hajj Muthawif Institute in a taaruf night meeting or introduction.

Khanif said, according to the Director of Administration for the Southeast Asia Muthawif Hajj Institute, Adnan Mandourah, the increased services included the number of officers from the maktabs from eight to 12, to improve quality, including during the masyair period or the peak of the hajj.

Other service improvements, such as the space or distance between congregations, are wider than when the normal number of worshipers is in tents in Mina.

In addition, the availability of sleeping facilities, whereas in the previous Hajj season only carpets were available, possibly because the space or distance between pilgrims was too narrow.

Director of Administration for the Southeast Asian Hajj Muthawif Institute Adnan Mandourah on the eve of Taaruf conveyed greetings from King Salman to Indonesian pilgrims.

"God willing, there are many privileges from the previous year, which make pilgrims more comfortable," he said.

"We also feel proud of the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims as guests of Allah, we are ready to serve them as well as possible," he said.
