JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, believes that the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, should not be so concerned about the right to the interpellation of Formula E being realized. Especially if Anies believes the race event has been held successfully.

As a reminder, interpellation is the right of the DPRD to request information from the Governor regarding important, strategic, and broad-impact local government policies.

In this case, the DPRD will ask Anies for information regarding the use of the budget in the implementation of Formula E. Therefore, Gembong admitted that his party is still pushing for the proposed interpellation right to be held through a plenary meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"The governor should be more confident if the event is a success. Right, there is nothing to do with the successful implementation. The supervisory function of the council continues," said Gembong when contacted, Sunday, June 12.

Gembong explained that if the interpellation could be held, the DPRD would evaluate the APBD allocation of Rp. 560 billion which was disbursed for the payment of the commitment fee for Formula E which was held on Saturday, June 4.

"By nature, we will deepen the implementation of the allocation and finally the evaluation. So, we say this interpellation is a forum for a thorough evaluation of the relationship between Formula E which is considered successful in its implementation," said Gembong.

Currently, PDIP is encouraging the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD to hold a Deliberative Body (Bamus) meeting with the agenda of scheduling a plenary meeting to determine the right of interpellation. In this plenary meeting, interpellation can be carried out if the quorum for attendance of the board members is met.

"We always urge the leadership, but the leadership has not scheduled a Bamus meeting with an agenda for a further plenary meeting. I don't know what's going on, maybe it's because the agenda is tight. But we'll keep pushing," he said.
