MAKASSAR - Member of Commission IX DPR, Ashabul Kahfi, warned the younger generation how important it is to prepare for the future. For that, he invites young people to stay away from drugs.

This was conveyed by Ashabul at the opening of volume III Anti-Drug Schools in South Sulawesi in Makassar, Saturday, June 11. In front of 160 students, he invites them to fight the dangerous goods.

"The biggest users of narcotics are men. South Sulawesi ranks fifth in terms of narcotics abuse from several surveys," Kahfi said as reported by Antara.

"Therefore, this anti-drug school is very good for educating and socializing about the dangers of narcotics which have legal and health impacts," he continued.

Kahfi said that drug abuse will have a broad impact, not only on legal issues, health problems, and health problems, but will have an impact on the future of the Indonesian nation's children.

He then emphasized that it is important for students to prepare for the future. The trick is to prepare for youth as well as possible, including abstaining from drug use behavior.

"Remember to note, if you fail to build your future, it's because you failed to build your youth. If you fail to plan for your youth, it means you have failed to plan for the future," Kahfi emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Student Association for the Department of Islamic Guidance (HMJ BPI) at the State Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar, Ilham Iriansyah, hopes that this activity can be a solution to the widespread use of narcotics, especially for students in South Sulawesi.

"Of course, our hopes and aspirations after this activity will be to make the younger generation ambassadors for socializing the dangers of narcotics education, especially among students," he said.
